All pages intact, none loose and no pen marks. The hard cover has been exposed to sun light and has also some damp damage. The contents of the book are however very good. The binding will need some restoration and the cover will need a clean.

Octavo red decorated cloth, lettered in gilt and with a gilt design on the front cover. Jacket with light chipping at the spine tips and some light rubbing at the joints. Scarce in the jacket. Arthur Rackman illustrator.
Book is in good condition, does have small tears on spine. Cover is in dark red cloth board which has slightly warped. First illustration has tissue cover, which has separated from the book. Overall a beautiful book that is certainly collectible. Beautiful black and white illustrations inside. First Edition. Gilt very bright. Light marking to rear cloth.
